Staying true to their compassion for wildlife and the lands in which they inhabit, members of the Mineral County Sportsman’s Club volunteered their time to clean up around the Rose Creek reservoir and cabin.

Sportsmanship is learned and on Saturday, May 1, with the help of many people, a new generation of younger sportsmen helped their father’s and even grandfather’s clean up debris that was haphazardly left, abandoned or tossed to the side without thought.

Mineral County Sportsman’s Club has been involved in many community activities to help promote activities involving youth and adults in Mineral County.

The Sportsman’s Club is a non-profit group of outdoor enthusiasts who want to secure recreational lands in Mineral County.

Base officials are hoping that Rose Creek will be available for access on May 11. In order to access the reservoir, you can call Hawthorne Army Depot Pass and ID at 945-7101 or 945-7601 for directions and keys.
