The 7th and 8th grade Hawthorne Rockets are champions for the fourth consecutive season.
The Rockets dominated their opponents during the season and in the championship finals. The 7th grade Rockets defeated Virginia City 27-11.
The starters put the game away early by taking a 21-0 lead at halftime. The 7th grade boys along with ten sixth graders and two 5th graders only lost one game all season long, to Dayton, a 3A school.
The 8th grade Rockets defeated Coleville in the championship game, 32-7.The boys led 22-1 at the intermission.
The 8th grade went undefeated again which included a win at Dayton. Congratulations to both teams for another great season.
