Fifty years marks an exciting period in the lives of everyone, especially alumni of Mineral County High School Class of 1964. Many of the class members were in Hawthorne recently for their 50th Class Reunion.

One of the highlights on their agenda was a visit to the ever popular Hawthorne Ordnance Museum, co-founded by fellow classmate, the late Herman Millsap (1945-2014). The classmates enjoyed their visit and time at the museum, some reflected memories of their tours of duty in the military, others of their employment at the Hawthorne Ammunition Depot. Everyone expressed interest when they were viewing the numerous displays of military history and seeing firsthand the munitions and weapons used by the US Military Forces in past wars.
