Harry Richard Davis
Harry Richard “Dick” Davis, 83, of Reno, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born on July 20, 1930 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Dick served in the Army, during the Korean War, from 1950-1953, being honorably discharged in 1956.
He was retired from the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center. An avid classic car enthusiast, Dick was a Hot August Nights member, as well as a member of the Sagebrush Chapter of the Model “A” Ford Club of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry M. Davis and Rebecca V. (Norwald) Davis, as well as his wife Edith Davis.
He is survived by his sisters; Betty (Davis) Washburn, of Reno, and Darline (Davis) Manfredi; as well as several nieces and nephews; Andrea Heckman, Gary Washburn, Deborah Price, Michelle Eisenbarth, and Dawn Lupan, all of Reno; Michael Ellis, Katherine (Ellis), and David Ellis.
Funeral Arrangements are being made by Walton’s Funeral Home. Viewing will be held Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 875 W. 2nd Street, from 5-7 PM. A Graveside service will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1 p.m., Mountain View Cemetery, Reno.
