If you haven’t yet seen the creative Christmas tree made out of stacked books, the Hawthorne library staff invites you to come in.
Library Director, Courtney Oberhansli, explained that this was a concept of discussion for many years, but this year it came to fruition. With lights, ornaments and a tree topper, it is an amazing tree of interest as one can read the many titles of books that became a holiday tribute.
The Friends of the Library have also set up a table of gifts that can be purchased for as low as $1 with proceeds going to fund more programs and development within the library. From handmade items, to angels and shirts, it’s become a great place for kids to do their Christmas shopping.
If you happen to be someone that enjoys a surprise, there are also mystery bags which are filled with a variety of special things which one can give as a gift.
The Mineral County Library serves as a convenient location to check out movies or books, review recent magazines and periodicals, poke around a community puzzle or pass the time on a computer. Many bargains await a smart shopper year round, while assisting with the future library costs. Everyone is welcome to check out this season’s special at the table inside next to the reception desk.
