
The Mineral County High football team got into the win column for the first time this year with a 30-0 win over Owyhee on Sept. 4.
Chase Reeves went 8-for-10 for 104 yards and four touchdowns in his start at quarterback for the Serpents. The senior also ran the ball four times for 44 yards, including a 40-yard sprint in the contest.
Ramiro Lalonde led the Serpents in catches with three, while Jonathan Serrato had two catches but gained a total of 70 yards on the pair.
Mineral County opened the season the week before with a 44-12 loss at home to Pahranagat Valley.
The Serpents travel to Pyramid Lake on Sept. 11 for their third game of the season, before hosting Coleville on Sept. 19.
In total, Mineral County will host a total of six games this year.
