Nevada’s two Democratic senators, Catherin Cortez Mastos and Jacky Rosen, today voted to confirm President Donald Trump’s pick for Labor Secretary,Lori Chavez-DeRemer .
Cortez Mastos said: “Lori Chavez-DeRemer has a history of supporting collective bargaining rights and organized labor, and she has suggested that she will be a voice of reason within the Trump administration. I look forward to working with her to deliver for hardworking Nevadanswhile holding the Trump administration accountable for any attacks on workers’ rights.”
Jacky Rosen said: “Nevada’s economy is powered by countless hardworking men and women and a strong labor community, and we need more advocates in Washington who support pro-labor policies to improve workers’ lives. Lori Chavez-DeRemer has a record of standing with labor, and is qualified to serve as Secretary of Labor. While I may not agree with everything she does, I voted to confirm her because I believe she is a nominee who I can work with to deliver for Nevada workers and their families.”
