A bighorn sheep takes a break on a graffiti covered rock near Walker Lake and watches traffic drive by after a winter storm blew through the area last week. Up to six inches of snow was reported in some places of Hawthorne last Wednesday during the first big storm of the season. Nearby Fallon reported over a foot of snow. Temperatures were frigid as well with daytime highs in the 30’s and nights in the teens. The area will be warmer over the next week with chances of rain on Saturday and Monday.
