Properly Subversive

Jason Statham’s new action/revenge movie “The Beekeeper” features the kind of bad guy we all disdain – a privileged, creepy son using his powerful family name to skirt the law and hurt people.

Sound familiar?

It should because we’re living that screenplay right now in the daily news with the saga of Hunter Biden. In the fictional plot of “The Beekeeper,” the bad seed son eventually has to shoot people to avoid the wrath of the Beekeeper, who must take matters into his own hands to protect the hive when normal justice can’t cope.

Hunter’s not killing people, of course. But there is no doubt that he is a troubled son who has done some very creepy things.

He didn’t pay his taxes, broke federal gun laws, trafficked women for sexual purposes, refused to pay child support, slept with his dead brother’s widow, took money – lots of it – from enemy foreign agents who expected something in return from his father and participated in an icky kick-back scheme involving the sale of his “art”.

Now, I know, I’ve taken a bit of a short-hand license on the above descriptions. Biden defenders will want to contest those characterizations by adding a few words like “allegedly,” “reportedly” and “innocent until convicted.”

Fine, add all the qualifiers you want. But don’t, with a straight face, pass this behavior off as normal. By any standard, Hunter has been a bad boy and for years has been shielded from the full consequences of his behavior.

There simply is no other way to see it. The sad facts with Hunter Biden are coming into focus. Jason Statham in “The Beekeeper” flick doesn’t like it. And, no one in the real life hive does either – Republican, Independent, or Democrat.

Justice – even a little – is in order for Hunter Biden.

DOWN IN GEORGIA

Speaking about Hollywood plots, are you following what’s happening down in Georgia?

Donald Trump’s prosecutor – Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, duly elected by the people – hired her lover, an ambulance chasing attorney with zero experience in election fraud, to go after the former president. The former lover got the gig and the money ($654,000), then proceeded to take Fani Willis on lavish vacations.

Good Lord, even in Fulton County this doesn’t look right.

If the facts bear out as presented, even Democrats will have to cry foul.

ONE MORE THING

– When it doesn’t snow in the winter, snowplow operators barely scrape by.

– Working on a horse ranch you are surrounded by neigh-sayers.

– Horses have lower divorce rates because they have stable relationships.

That’ll do for this week. Until next time, avoid horse’s arses, laugh a little and always question authority.
