Joseph Allen Lee, 43, of Bocode, Washington, passed away unexpectedly from an undiagnosed heart condition on May 9, 2023.

Joseph was raised and lived in Hawthorne until he graduated from Mineral County High School when he decided to serve his country and joined the Navy. Upon leaving the service, Joseph came back to Hawthorne, spent some time in Reno, and returned to Hawthorne where he acquired his first job in the mining field. Joseph enjoyed all aspects of mining so much that when the company he worked for moved to a site in Washington state b he moved with them where he settled and lived until his passing. He was a hardworking and dedicated professional, always striving to excel in his field becoming Foreman of his site. Beyond his professional life, Joe was known for his zest for life. He had a passion for the outdoors, whether it was hiking, fishing, trapping by rivers, or enjoying camping trips with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his mother Linda Lee and his brother Andrew Lee, he is survived by his wife Jessica Black of Bucoda, WA., his father and stepmother Marshall and Jeanne Lee of Hawthorne, NV.; sister Jennifer Lee of Reno, NV.; and brother Thomas Lee, of Texas.

Services will be held for Joseph at 11 a.m. on November 11, 2023, at the First Baptist Church, 8th and C Street.
