Lane closures and travel delays will continue to be in place on U.S. 95A between U.S. 95 and Yerington over coming weeks for final paving of a project that caused travel delays and lane closures over the last week.
The intersection of U.S. 95 and Alternate U.S. 95 in Schurz saw those delays that began Sept. 23 as part of a Nevada Department of Transportation’s project to resurface the highway.
Drivers have seen road work zones in place over recent weeks as NDOT resurfaces approximately 20 miles of U.S. 95A between the intersection of U.S. 95 in Schurz and Pete Hendrichs Road in east Yerington.
Some travelers saw 30-minute delays as traffic flaggers directed travel through the intersection of U.S. 95/U.S. 95A at Schurz.
The road work schedule is expected to be completed in the coming weeks but is subject to change according to NDOT.
