The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (the Division) has issued a new Water Pollution Control Permit to QLM Pamlico LLC effective September 1, 2023. The Permit will authorize the building, operation, and closure of the approved mining facilities located in Mineral County and has received sufficient information in accordance with Nevada Administrative Code 445A.350-445A.447 to ensure that Nevada waters will not be degraded by this operation or impact public health and safety.

No comments were made during the public comment period and while the Permit for QLM Pamlico has been approved, people are welcome to appeal the decision by filing a request for appeal with the Administrator until 5 p.m. on August 27, 2023. An appeal can be made by writing to the State Environmental Commission at 901 South Stewart Street, Suite 4001 in Carson City, Nevada 89701-5249.
