David Leroy Wilson

David was born in Adrian, Minnesota on June 12, 1937 to Leona Wilson and Leroy Wilson. He proudly started serving his country in the United States Air Force in 1956 just 6 months after graduating high school. He served for 26 years, 17 and a half of those years touring overseas. This included his tour to Germany, where he would meet the Love of his life Petra, who he would say was the best thing he found in his travels overseas and the very thing that would give him an entire lifetime of adventure and love. Together they would travel the world and start a family. He finished his last tour and ended his service in 1982 with the Title of Senior Master Sergeant. One he would proudly carry around for the rest of his life. He moved his Family to Hawthorne, Nevada and that is where they spent the next 40 years. Once retired he enjoyed taking up his favorite hobbies. You could always find him at the Elks Lodge or the Golf Course. He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge and VFW. He served as the Elks Secretary for 32 years.

There was a funeral service on May 6 at 11 a.m. at the Hawthorne Cemetery.

Immediately following was the Elks Service and Celebration of Life at the Hawthorne Elks Lodge at 12 p.m. with a potluck afterwards.
