Apple picking, applesauce, and homemade apple pie… this fall fruit makes a sweet alternative treat to high-calorie candies during the Halloween season.
At just 90 calories per whole fruit, apples are a nutrition-packed, low-calorie snack. With the peel, apples are a great source of fiber- important for healthy digestion, and they contain the antioxidant vitamin C which helps fight cell-damaging free radicals in the body.
