Mineral County Wildlife Advisory Board President Glenn Bunch discusses Mt. Grant with a fellow outdoorsman during the state conference.

Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners held their state conference in Hawthorne last week. Officials and guests toured Walker Lake where new (and old) signs show the progression of water recession from the building of reservoirs and irrigation on the Walker River.

The commissioners, county advisory board members and state and local leaders were also able to tour the Cottonwood Creek drainage where they learned about a refuge population of Lahontan Cutthroat Trout.
