Do any theft crimes in mineral county , ever get solved ? When I moved to Hawthorne ,about eight years ago , my tools were taken from the job site I was working at ! I just did my own investigation , and followed the wagon tracks left in early morning dew on the ground! And they led me to a home that was for sale by this woman out of town ,I call the phone number on the for sale sign ,I explained what I discovered to her ! She called mineral county sheriff’s and reported what happened, well I got my tools back ,and the thief was sleeping in the house when sheriff’s arrived, they found two rooms of stolen articals that has been missing for six mos prior ! I felt I did good ! Till my flat screen TV was take ,I knew who took it and where it was. I reported it to mcso ! But it’s been sence September and I went and asked if they had investigated it yet !? They told me they don’t know ! I asked how hard is it to call Reno sheriff’s and ask them to check it out ? They didn’t know ! Mabey I should do that my self ? What do we pay them for? Who do they answer to ?
