Courtesy photo On July 15, 2016 Hawthorne Elks Lodge No. 1704 of the B.P.O.E of Elks presented a check for $2,500 to the Mineral County Search and Rescue (MNSAR) Organization. This donation was made possible by the Elks National Foundation through a grant application submitted by members of the Hawthorne, Elks Lodge. The funds will be/has been used to purchase community equipment that will serve Mineral County Emergency Responders as may be required. Seen in the picture above is the Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler Kent Wofford and Glenn and Dennis Bunch of the MNSAR Organization.
