Larry Jackson and wife, Vicki, of the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office attended the International Conference of Police Chaplains 42nd annual training seminar held in Sacramento on July 13-17.

Basic, enrichment, advanced and liaison officer training was offered to those in attendance. A sampling of class offerings was: Introduction to Law Enforcement Chaplaincy; Stress Management; Death Notification; Officer Suicide in Law Enforcement; Disaster Spiritual Care; Healing at a Deeper Level, in addition to many others.

The seminar included the International Conference of Police Chaplains annual memorial service, a touching tribute honoring all law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as a remembrance of the International Conference of Police Chaplains chaplains who passed during the preceding year.

Next years conference will be held in Albuquerque, N.M. in July.
