12An original play entitled, Truly Easter, was performed by children and adults of the Walker Lake Baptist Church on Sunday, March 29, in observance of Passion Week, leading up to the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.

The children began the play with a traditional Easter egg hunt, while a grandmother figure, played by Sue Dudley, gathered them around to explain what Easter was truly about.  An artistic rendering of the tomb was on stage as various scriptural figures came out to tell the story of Jesus.

The adult cast, as well as the small children, did an excellent job in memorizing lines and sharing the inspirational story of the Resurrection. The play was written by Sheree Fence of Walker Lake.
