Mineral County High School is offering Alternative Education classes for grades 7-12 beginning this year. They will be using the Pierson GradPoint system.

GradPoint is a computer based program and will be accessible in many different areas. This system is being used at schools throughout the country. What is being offered will be different from most distance learning programs being used by many in the community.

The classes will also have an on-site teacher to assist students with their work when they are having difficulty understanding the material. The teacher has fifteen years’ experience working in the Alternative Education setting.

If you have any questions concerning the program, please visit the high school or check out the Alternative Ed. Classroom located in the Arlo K. Funk District Services building.

We sincerely hope that parents will try the MCHS Alternative Education program for the child’s home school education.
