As impossible as it may have once seemed, Democrats have managed to turn billionaire game show host Donald Trump into a legit sympathetic figure.

Properly Subversive
Not because Donald Trump is the genius he thinks he is or is all that likable, but because Democrats have scuttled American ideals to demonize and persecute a political opponent. If there’s one thing Americans hate, it is authoritarianism.
Like parrots, Democrats repeat “nobody is ABOVE the law.” But, what’s really happening is an Orwellian movement to put Trump and MAGA Republicans BELOW the law. It’s freaking out people who still put fair play above partisan politics.
Let’s review this persecution.
Trump can’t be on the ballot because he’s an “insurrectionist.”
Seriously?
Who made him an insurrectionist? Nobody. It’s a phantom conceit derived from the Civil War era and resurrected to punish a political competitor. This is straight out of the playbook of Jim Crow laws, which by the way were invented by Democrats.
“Extreme MAGA Republicans,” as Joe Biden brands them, have become second-class citizens, ineligible for public office and targets for special profiling and surveillance. At this rate, how long will it be before Republicans can’t drink out of Democrat water fountains?
Consider the crazy case in New York where Trump has been convicted of a victimless civil “crime” and then ordered to pay a $400,000,000+ fine before he can appeal the verdict. And if he doesn’t pay up in two weeks, the state will seize one or more of his buildings to satisfy the verdict.
That’s not justice, brothers and sisters, that’s selective prosecution.
The case in Georgia on election interference is also suspect in about 18 different ways. The merits of the case are far from clear. And now the situation is complicated by an inappropriate sexual relationship between the prosecutor and the District Attorney who hired him. With bad judgment like that, this entire case deserves an impartial review to see if it even merits going forward.
And the persecution doesn’t end there.
The White House has met with prosecutors in both the New York and Georgia cases. What’s that all about?
Add to that the way the DOJ let Biden off the hook for taking secret documents, but plans to throw the book at Trump for nearly the same offense. Or, how Biden’s DOJ demurred in handling Hunter Biden’s wrongdoing until whistleblowers exposed the double-standard and made it impossible to ignore.
There’s also several examples that show a pattern of Republicans getting tougher treatment than Democrats. One gets handcuffed in public with the media tipped off so film crews can capture the moment, the other gets invited to sit down for a nice private chat.
And, lest we forget, under Joe Biden’s watch the U.S. government – the government that is supposed to protect us and preserve our freedoms – pressured social media outlets to suppress free speech, especially thoughts critical of their behavior, from garden-variety politics to COVID protocol.
As you read this, Biden is literally funding propaganda programs to control what’s proper thought on the internet.
The watchdog group Judicial Watch reports: “As the presidential election approaches, the Biden administration is expanding its controversial initiative to control information and censor Americans by funding a new project that tracks the spread of ‘mis-, dis-, and mal-information (MDM)’ by internet users. A public university in South Carolina is getting nearly $1 million from the government to map the spread of MDM in real time and create an online dashboard with an MDM tracker. The Department of Justice’s (DOJ) National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is doling out the funds to researchers at Clemson University to meet its reported mission of ‘improving knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through science.’”
Meanwhile, people who historically defended the concept of dispassionate justice in the courts and free and unfettered speech have suddenly gone completely silent. Worse than that, they are carrying pitchforks in the “Get Trump” mob.
The New York Times, CBS and the Washington Post can’t find their tongues. And, what the hell happened to the American Civil Liberty Union, once a great defender of freedom, now gone missing in action?
This is oppression. It is un-American. And I’d say that if the shoe were on the other foot.
Time for good people to come to the aid of their country, call “bullsh*t” on this persecution and invoke the nuclear option.
What does that mean, exactly?
Well, think of it as a paraphrase of the line in “Aliens.” Asked how to stop the destruction of American ideals as we know them, Ripley might turn to Cpl. Hicks and say:
“Vote Trump. It’s the only way to be sure.”
ONE MORE THING
– The Earth cannot be flat. If it were, cats would have pushed everything off it by now.
Thanks for reading. Be good to each other and remember the poor in body and spirit, for them the light at the end of the tunnel may be you.
