Sandra “Jill” Minor, 67, of Hawthorne, NV passed away after a long hard fight with Dementia on October 21, 2022. Jill was born May 28,1955 to Wilber Matheny and Marsha Martin in Maryville, MO. Jill graduated in 1974 from Mineral County High School in Hawthorne.

Jill took great pride in raising her family and being the best Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mom, Grandma and Friend she could be. Jill spent a lot of time following her kids around to athletic events and Cinderella Pageants. Jill was a Lector at OLPH and loved her church. Jill’s hobbies included bowling, scrap booking, playing bunco, country music, line dancing and doing anything with her kids and grandkids. She also loved her dogs and cats, Faith, Wigeon, Chesney, Gracie and Callie

Jill worked many years for DZHC/SOC as well as NUWEC, which took her to Poulsbo, Washington, where she easily made many more friends. The last three years of her life, Jill was a resident of the Lefa L Seran Nursing Facility at Mt Grant General Hospital, where she stole the hearts of many staff members as well as other residents. The love and care that she received was exemplary

She is preceded in death by her 2 Dads, Wilbur “Wiggs” Matheny and Jerry Martin, Father In Law, Gerald Minor, and several Aunt’s, Uncles and Cousins.

Jill is survived by her Husband Jerry of 24 years, Mother Marsha Martin, Mother-in-law, Anita Minor, Children Jason Cardenas (Melissa), Jaime Cardenas Barton (Logan), Trapper Minor (Tia), Grand Children, Brady Cardenas, McKenna Cardenas, Braedyn Barton, Brock Barton, Devin Canright, Jordanne Martinez, Bailey Pena, Trey Oberhansli, Presleey Minor, Caninn Minor, Great Grandchildren Kennady Andrada and Ryland Banfield, Siblings Joni Heffner, Jeff Matheny (Donna), Shannon Gurule (Randy), David Martin (Patty), Cheri Martin, Wayne Martin. She is also survived by a plethora of nieces and nephews, some of which she held very close to her heart, Sara Gurule, Tori Nepper, Courtney Coppola, Molly and Macie Matheny. Last but definitely not least, her “Best Girlfriend” since 6th grade, Dianna Giordana Munger.

Services were held at 11:30 am on October 28, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help located at 804 A Street in Hawthorne NV. Graveside services were followed with a potluck reception at the Hawthorne Elks Lodge #1704.
