Hello folks, school has been back in session for a couple of weeks now, so I met with the superintendent and other school officials to see how things are going.

They tell me things are off to a good start. I asked how you folks were doing as far as the traffic in the school zones and I am happy to report you all got kudos for your driving habits in our school zones.

With that being said there was one area of concern brought to my attention.

There is a school bus that loads and unloads in front of the High School just off of A Street. Although this bus is usually about 20 feet from the pavement there is no physical barrier between the street and the bus so you must stop when the bus has its lights on and signs out. Other than this one concern I thank you for your efforts to keep our children safe.
