Albert Lloyd Copple

Albert Lloyd Copple died peacefully on the first day of Spring, March 20, at the age of 93. He was born in Girard, Kan. on Jan. 22, 1925 to Nathan and Grace Copple. He has been married to Patricia Copple for 67 years.

Albert was a veteran of WWII, being honored with a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Aaron, sister Helen and son Michael (Joanne).

The joy of Albert’s life was spending time with his family telling stories of his life and taking them on road trips to remote areas. He loved the Nevada desert.

Albert is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter: Janice; sons: Jeffery (Mely) and Steven (Cherie); his beloved grandchildren: Rob, Michele, Jason, Amanda, Jeff, and Lauren and several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be sorely missed by his dog, Luke and his cat, Miss Kitty.

Wherever Albert went, he always made friends easily due to his kind spirit, warm smile and sense of humor.

A special thanks to the Sparks Fire Station #2 (Chad, Mike and others) who made many trips to his house to assist him. You were special to Albert.

There will be funeral services at Ross Burke and Knoble at 2155 Kietzke Lane, Reno. On March 31 at 10 a.m. Viewing at 9:15 a.m. Please dress casual as Albert’s favorite attire was Levis.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nevada Humane Society in Albert’s name.
