Search & Rescue meeting tonight
Mineral County Search & Rescue will meet on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. in the courthouse. All are invited to attend.
Hunters Education Class Feb. 10
Hunter education class will be held Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mineral County Library. To register go to WWW.NDOW.ORG. Click on the hunter education, under hunt tab. Workbooks can be picked up at the Mineral County Library. Workbooks must be completed before admittance to class.

Good to see hunter classes as when one shoots in residential areas, they obviously need it.
Search and rescue should probably have actual training. When I was enlisted in the U.S. Coust Guard on SAR stations, we had training once a week. Actual hands-on training is essential in life or death situations and water rescue is completely different that land based rescues and should have different training.
