Mary Jeanne Warner

Mary Jeanne (Benscoter) Warner passed away suddenly on Aug. 6, 2017, in Hawthorne at the age of 70. She was born Dec. 3, 1946, to Walter William and Rosena (Lehr) Benscoter in Saint Paul, Minn.

Mary was known for helping anyone in need and her love of cats. Knitting was her hobby. She made gloves, hats, and sweaters that she donated to organizations to be given away.

Mary retired from Target Distribution Center in Saint Paul as a dock supervisor. She moved to Hawthorne and loved the small town from day one. She always commented on the friendliness of the people. Mary made many friends while living in Hawthorne and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Lee, Leslie and Walter and one sister, Barbara. She is survived by her brother, Kay Benscoter (Jewell); children: Mike, Mary Jeanne and George and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also a special friend and champion of many years, Bob Lang.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Saint Paul, Minn.
