Mineral County High School will hold Challenge Day on June 1.

Submitted by: Kathy Trujillo

Students at Mineral County High School and preparing to “be the change” at the Challenge Day Assembly scheduled for Thursday, June 1. Organizers are hoping that the last day of the 2016-2017 school year will be one of the best days. The Challenge Day Program is designed to unite the members of the school/community and to empower them to carry the themes of the program back to the school population.

The program welcomes parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, police officers, elected officials, community members and any other interested adults. This allows youth to see another side of these adults in addition to their assigned community roles. Please notify the School Coordinator, Kathy Trujillo if you know of any adults who would like to be a part of the Challenge Day Program or if you would like to participate yourself. Adult participants are crucial for the success of the day and no prior training is necessary.

Please contact Kathy Trujillo, Safe Schools Professional at HJHS/MCHS 945-3332 extension 16 or Jeri Lopez, 945-5410 to volunteer or if you have any questions. They hope you will be able to join them for this wonderful experience.
