This is the second Armed Forces Day pin offered by the Hawthorne Lions Club. This year’s pin depicts the State of Nevada with a Big Horn Sheep on the left and the five Armed Forces emblems on the right. The patch of blue towards the bottom represents Walker Lake, with Mt. Grant towering above. The top border is inscribed “Armed Forces Day” with “Hawthorne Nevada 2017” directly underneath. This year’s Armed Forces Day log (“America’s Military, Guardians of Freedom”) completes the pin.

The Lions Club still has a few of last year’s first issue pins available.

The pins will be available at the Lions Club booth on Armed Forces Day and may be pre-purchased by calling Lion John, 945-0530 or Lion Tammy, 945-2065.
