Michael Rollins
Michael Rollins, 69, passed away in Reno, Feb. 21, 2017. He was born in Hastings, Neb. , Aug. 5, 1947 and moved to Hawthorne at a young age. He was a resident of Reno since 1972.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years Amy Folsom Rollins. He is also survived by his sons Christopher Rollins, Alexander Rollins, Nicholas and stepson Jerry Gordon (wife Tina). He was preceded in death by his dad Henry J. Crist. He is also survived by his mother Alyce Morehouse Crist and sister Barbara Busch, Donna Bosstic (husband Bill), brother John Crist (wife Rita) and four grandchildren, cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews. He was a machinist for over 40 years and a volunteer firefighter for Sun Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
His passion was the Nevada desert from a young age. He was an avid rockhound and fishermen. He loved time spent with family and friends. He also loved to garden and sharing vegetables with friends and family. A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Mar. 4 at The Bridge Church, 1330 Foster Dr., Reno.
