A year long investigation landed a Hawthorne man in jail last week.

In a news brief from Mineral County Undersheriff Bill Ferguson, he states that Harry Settegren was booked into the Mineral County Jail on Feb. 3 after a search warrant was served.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 3, the sheriff’s office long investigation was concluded when deputies served a search warrant on 317 I Street in Hawthorne.

A search of the residence by Mineral County deputies and K-9 Officer Jake, 15.3 grams of methamphetamine was located inside Settergren’s bedroom.

He was arrested and charged with the following crimes: NRS 453.3385 Mid-Level Trafficking of a Controlled Substance, NRS 453.337 Possession for sales of a Controlled Substance and NRS 453.566 Possession of Paraphernalia.

At press time, Settergren still remained in the Mineral County Jail. His bail is set at $106,140 cash or bond.
