Allen Waggoner, Sr. went to his final resting place to join his son on Sept. 21, 2016. He was born Aug. 13, 1955 in Hawthorne to Bob and Peggy Waggoner. He grew up and attended school in Hawthorne. He joined the Navy in 1973 and was honorably discharged in 1974. He started work at Premier in Gabbs in 1978. He met the love of his life and married her in 1983. They shared and raised four kids together. In 1999, the family learned of another sibling. So there were a total of five children. He worked at SOC for five years after leaving Premier where he had worked for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Peggy Waggoner and his son Robert Waggoner, Sr. He leaves behind his mother Ellen Waggoner, a son Tim (Amanda) Barrell; a daughter Jessica Waggoner (Stacy Kennedy); a son, Allen (Nicole) Waggoner, Jr.; a son Marty (Loretta) Waggoner; three sisters: Brenda (Roy) Sowers, Vickie (Brett) Richard and Bobbi (Bruce) McAlexander; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW on Sept. 30 and 3 p.m. reception will follow. You will be greatly missed by all. We love you Dad!
