The Mineral County Senior Services Program is hosting its second Fall Festival at the Park fundraising event at Lion’s Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. This event will be packed full of fun activities, food and public service information. Hamburgers, hotdogs, Indian tacos, beverages will be available for sale, as well as snow cones and popcorn. Planned activities include children’s activities and games, private vendor sales (arts and crafts and such), swimming (weather permitting) and more.

Last year’s event was a big hit with young and old so we’re looking forward to another successful event this year.

Individuals wishing to sell their handcrafted or flea market items or home-based business products are welcome.

Vendor spaces are available at a rate of $20 per 10-foot table area (senior citizen discount available if over age 60). Vendors will provide their own table(s), chair(s) and shade as necessary. For planning purposes, spaces must be reserved and paid for no later than Wednesday, Sept. 7. Call Nancy or Cherrie at 945-5519 to reserve your space.

Service-oriented organizations and other businesses are encouraged to set up a table and distribute information about their services and distribute free advertising items. There will be no charge for reservation of these spaces as long as there are no sales involved. Please call 945-5519 to reserve space.

Like last year, patrons will pay an admission fee at the gate – Ages six and older – $5; ages five and under – $2.

Admission includes all activities, games and swimming. Food and beverages will available for additional costs.

Please plan to join us for a day of fun at the park. Net proceeds will benefit the Senior Service Program of Mineral County. For additional information, please call 945-5519 Monday thru Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
