Two adult males are now currently housed at the Mineral County Detention Center after being arrested on drug charges at Golden Gate Petroleum in Hawthorne

Jordan Saraceni and Gabriel Mejarado were taken into custody by Mineral County Sheriff’s Office on June 20 at approximately 8:50 p.m. after the sheriff’s office was advised that the two subjects were outside the front of the building smoking marijuana.

In a press release from Undersheriff Bill Ferguson, it states, “During the interaction, officers became suspicious of possible criminal activity and deployed K9 Jake.”

The search of the vehicle revealed approximately 59.4 grams of MDMA (Molly); 7.3 grams of cocaine; 0.4 grams of hash wax; 12.9 grams of marijuana and packaging materials. In addition to drugs, a total of $2,392 in cash was also seized.

Both subjects are from California and were arrested and booked into the Mineral County Detention Center for the following charges – Saraceni: high level trafficking of a controlled substance; possession of controlled substance for sale – two counts; possession of marijuana, less than one ounce; possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a controlled substance. Mejarado: high level trafficking of a controlled substance; possession of controlled substance for sale – two counts; possession of marijuana, less than one ounce; possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a controlled substance.

Both subjects are being held on $111,140 bail and at press time were still residing at the detention center.
