The Nevada Highway Patrol will be looking for motorists and occupants who are not buckled up while traveling. During this time, the Highway Patrol will be Joining Forces looking for drivers and other occupants in vehicles who are not wearing their seatbelts and/or children who are not properly in car or booster seat(s). Troopers, Deputies, and Officers will be stopping drivers for different traffic offenses and issuing citations for seatbelt violations from May 16, 2016 through June 1, 2016 throughout Northern Nevada.

Law Enforcement within the State of Nevada continues to see senseless deaths and injuries sustained from car crashes that can be avoided by simply wearing your seatbelt.

The Nevada Highway Patrol wants to encourage everyone who is traveling in a motor vehicle to please buckle up. It only takes two seconds to put your seatbelt on to help save your life if you were in a motor vehicle accident. So, please buckle up every time!
