SOC is pleased to announce that fishing at Rose Creek on the Hawthorne Army Depot will be opening up again this year on May 6.
Visitors who wish to visit Rose Creek are required to check into Pass and ID office (located at Building 37) on the depot between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A copy of your current fishing license is required prior to access of Rose Creek. The use of live bait is prohibited. Those gaining entrance to the reservoir must adhere to the guidelines of no alcohol, firearms or glass containers on the premises.
You can make reservations to fish or hike during the non-operational hours – just call ahead to speak to either Ann Belzer or Nina MacPherson to reserve a key to the gate.
