The Mineral County High softball team swept a double header for the second weekend in a row this past Saturday against Silver Stage.

Hailey Lahre opened the scoring for the home team and in the first inning for an infield 3-run homerun. She finished with five RBIs in the game. Julianna Williams also had a big hit as she cleared the bases with a grand slam in the third.

Alexceah Emm knocked in two runs and Madeline Bennett finished withan RBI in the contest.

Amanda Rivero struck out six on the mound as the Lady Serpents rolled to a 21-8 win.

The second game proved to be no better for Silver Stage, as their pitchers had trouble finding the plate.

Abby MacNamara had two singles and a double and two RBIs for the Serpents.

K. Williams kept the offense down for the visitors as she struck out seven in the 18-1 win.

The Lady Serpents will look to continue their hot play when they take on Carlin in a double-header on Saturday. First pitch is set for 10 a.m.
