The Mineral County 4-H program is looking to expand what it offers to youth in our community and seeking volunteers who are willing to start new clubs.

Currently we want to offer shooting sports, archery competition teams, Lego club, science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) enrichment and clubs, community/leadership clubs, and many more. These clubs will offer a chance for the youth of Mineral County the opportunity to travel all over the state and possibly the country to represent our not only our community but, the State of Nevada.

All volunteers will attend offered training courses, pass a background check, and have three character reference letters.

4-H volunteers are essential to help you make the most of the wide variety of learning experiences that Mineral County 4-H offers. You can leverage your own experiences and skills to help young people find their own passion and interests.

Age groups range from Cloverbud 5-8 years, Junior 4-H 9-13 years, and Senior 4-H 14-19 years. Please feel free to visit www.4H.org , www.unce.unr.edu/counties/mineral, and www.facebook.com/MineralCountyNvCoopextension
