Four Mineral County deputies made the pilgrimage to the Black Rock Desert for the annual Burning Man festivities.

Instead of dressing in costume, these men were on hand to deal with any law enforcement issues that arose during the festivities and to make sure those who were calling Black Rock City home, were safe.

Black Rock City houses more than 70,000 Burners this year with celebrities such as Katy Perry and Susan Sarandon calling the playa home for the weeklong event.

Undersheriff Bill Ferguson was one of the deputies to work the event. When asked about the Burning Man event, he said, “Definitely nothing I have seen before.”
