8Roberta Knapp of Walker Lake passed away quietly in a Reno hospital on May 22, 2015 after a prolonged series of illnesses.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Knapp, on Feb. 2, 2012 and her mother, Helen Kent.

A private memorial will be held at her residence.  Roberta is survived by her brother, Robert B. Kent; three children, Jessica Burgess, Crystal Knapp and Kent Knapp, son-in-law Billy Burgess, plus three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Also to mention, she leaves a recently adopted son and daughter named David and Monica, who helped Roberta in a myriad of ways, bringing her so much help, joy and love in the last several years.

Roberta loved gardening, crocheting, sewing, cooking, “second hand thrifting”, rock hounding and taking trips with her family and friends.  In her younger days she loved exploring the deserts, with the wide open spaces and peaceful serenity.  She retired 30 years ago from the San Francisco Bay area of California.

She loved their family dogs and her little Rosie was comforting her as a loving companion after the loss of her husband.  Unfortunately Rosie passed away several months ago.  Words cannot express how much she will be missed and how she was loved by many.

The only thing that makes her loss bearable is that she will never have to endure any more pain or suffering, as now in heaven with Jesus and her heavenly Father, her husband and the rest of her loved ones.  The family knows they will meet her again and never be parted.
