On March 25, 2015, our beloved Luella McCormick Porter passed away in her home with her family surrounding her.  Luella Ruth was born to Otto and Goldie McCormick on June 2, 1942 in Twin Falls, Idaho.

When she was two years old the family moved to Hawthorne, Nev. where she spent the years until she graduated from Mineral County High School.  Upon graduation she moved to Reno and then to Concord, Calif. where she studied and became a cosmetologist.  Luella married Frank Osgood in 1961; they had three children – Kevin, Darren and Deidre.  They later divorced and in 1990 she married Dave Porter and moved to Reno.  They worked for Washoe County School District until retiring and moving to Fallon.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her husband Dave; children Kevin, Darren and Deidre of Reno and six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  They all were the love of her life. Her sister, Janice (Ken) Leigh of Sparks; Stepfather Harold Carr of Reno and many other extended family members.  Memorial Services were held April 2 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnessed, Fallon.

Luella will forever be remembered for her loving heart and beautiful spirit.
