A heartfelt “Thank You” to all,

We cannot express how much we appreciate the generosity and support that we received from the communities after the loss of our home on the morning of Oct. 22.  First, we would like to thank our family, Roger and Fawn Cunha  and those who work with them at SOC , Bill and Shelly and the Elks Lodge for the benefit dinner and raffle, Bobbie, Bonnie and the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Schurz, the Walker River Paiute Tribe, the city of Hawthorne, The American Red Cross for their quick response, Wilbur and Janet Thom for taking care of my horse and Leonard and Eddie Mae Schmidt for their hospitality.  We would also like to thank the Mineral County Fire Department and the Schurz Fire Department for their quick response and their attempt to save our home.

It is wonderful to know that the entire community pulls together after a disaster.  We lost everything we owned along with our home, but we still have one another and our lives.  Words cannot express how grateful we are to everyone.

Thank you again and I hope that we did not miss anybody.
