The new RSVP drivers in Mineral County welcome you to enjoy a trip out of town with us for your appointments. Due to the lack of drivers, this program could have been cut if these outstanding volunteers didn’t come forward to help those disabled; sick or unable to drive get out of town for important appointments. Meet your new RSVP drivers:

Deanna and Charles Morris of Walker Lake both love helping people. Charles drives for DAV and is the Mineral County Care and Share out of town bus driver. Deanna is a retired CNA who loves to help people and specialized in respite care.

Dorothy Grimes of Hawthorne is a retired teacher, having taught many years at the primary school in Hawthorne. She enjoys driving and giving back to her community.

Bonnie Haak (not pictured) is a Christian jewelry sales person who is helping with the driving in Mineral County.

The volunteers are pictured with Mineral County RSVP coordinator, Bernie Presnell, who states, “Without the volunteers, many would be going without the care they needed. I am so grateful to those that have came forward to help. If you need transportation or can volunteer one day a month to help drive, please give me a call.”

RSVP helps senior citizens enhance their quality of life and has been a faucet of Mineral County for many years.
