For the first time in 10 years, the Hawthorne All Star team is taking the field again to play in  the biggest youth tournament in the world.

This team is comprised of the best players in the 11 to 12 age group from Hawthorne Little League. This All Star team was picked by players, managers, coaches and other volunteers that took part in the 2014 season.

Leading the team is the manager Kyle Isom, along with his assistant coaches Jeff and Tony Nelms. They will be traveling to Ely on July 1 for the nine-team tournament, and will play their first game at 9 a.m. on July 2 against Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek).

Hawthorne Little League has high hopes for this team as all of the players have put together a very productive season. Between the 13 players selected for the team, there were a combined twelve home runs, four no hitters and other great statistics.

The players for the team are: Tyler Blankenship, Seth Bozzi, Gavin Burroughs, Tony Dominguez, Damien Hernandez, Griffin Inman, Payton Isom, Jean Naranjo, Ethan Nelms, Alex Palacios, Elijah Schulenberg, Tony Torres and Treven Wachsmuth.
