Colleen Marie Strzemp, born April 30, 1957 to Catherine Theresa (McKeon) Strzemp and Walter Anthony Strzemp in Santa Rosa, Calif. When Colleen was in the fifth grade, she moved from California with her family here to Hawthorne.  Colleen attended school here and graduated from Mineral County High School.  Colleen leaves behind her son, Michael Vigil (Bryan Tankersley);  daughter Mandi Vigil-Tippit (Chris); granddaughters, Jeordyn Vigil, Peyton Tippit, Ryleigh Tippit: sister, Sharon Jones (Jim); niece, Michelle Jones; nephew, Jimmy Jones and several great nieces and great nephews along with best friends: Linda Mathias and Debbie Cash, as well as numerous friends who loved her very much.

You did not go alone,

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home.”

There will be a celebration of life service for Colleen on July 5 at Veterans Memorial Park at 2 p.m.  Please join us if you can and bring your pictures, stories and memories.  There will be hamburgers, hot dogs and potato salad served, and any side dishes brought would be very welcomed.
