At 6:06 a.m. on March 28, dispatch received a phone call reporting a fire at 122 Harrison St.

A deputy was on scene within a minute and Fire Chief T.C Knight and an ambulance were in route within two minutes.

By 6:11 a.m., Engine 2 was in route and arrived at the fire by 6:12 a.m., and by 6:20 Deputy Dan Fortier had road blocked at Hermansen and Baker and the Walker Lake engine was in route.

The Walker Lake engine arrived at 6:34 and the fire was pronounced out at 6:35.

By 8 a.m. both the fire inspector and building inspectors were on the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Independent-News will report more details as they become available.
