Thank You

We would like to thank everyone for their acts of kindness and thoughtfulness during our time of loss. Your prayers; kind words; phone calls; visits; flowers and donations of food have been greatly appreciated by all of us.

We would like to thank Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and The Ladies Guild for helping with the planning and facilitation of the rosary; mass and the reception that followed.

Your ministry is greatly appreciated and we thank all who attended, joining with us to remember Clara. We thank God for the people he has put in our lives that have helped us during this difficult time.

Your love and support means so much.

Sincerely,

The Family of Clara Martinez

Thank You

The Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2313 would like to extend a sincere “Thank You” to all of you who supported our 4th Annual Wine Tasting Event. The event was a huge success not only because of those of you who attended, but those businesses, residents & members who donated goods; hand crafted items; delicious snacks; and their time.

Some of those (in alphabetical order) donating items for the auction andraffle were: B&B Hardware; Benji and Kris Roberts; Bodies at Work; Buffalo Stop; Casey Boyle; Desert Mountain Carpet Cleaning; El Capitan Restaurant & Casino; P&P Hair Salon; Patricia’s Estate Sales; Perry Rose; Starr and Jeremy Williams; Sue Banks; Vic Trujillo; Wagner Hardware and Woody’s Automotive. We would also like to thank our “lovely” ladies serving the wine for us: Gloria; Norma; and Ana, and of course, the auction wouldn’t have been complete with our “famous” auctioneer, Tim Rutherford. Thank you Tim and Nancy for always being there to help us make this event a success. Of course we can’t forget to send a special thanks to the National VFW Senior Vice Commander-in- Chief, John Stroud, our local resident and member of Post 2313. Although he wasn’t able to attend, due to other commitments, he donated one of his autographed bottles of wine. Thanks John and best wishes to you as you travel the world helping our veterans.

Thank you to auxiliary members who donated food: Norma; Georgie; Ana; Barbara; Sue; Colleen; Mary; Dee; Melissa; Dawn; and to Shayla Ziegler and George Zimmers who kept the snacks stocked and the area cleared and clean.  A very special thanks goes out to James Edington for being our “”dd” for the evening and getting everyone home safely.

The generosity and support of everyone enables us to continue supporting the programs to assist our veterans.  Funds raised thru this project will be used for our National Military Support; National Home; Ways and Means; and Homes for our Troops which are some of the programs that help our veterans, their families and the families of those deployed.
