Book Club members voted on top 3 books of the year.  The first place winner was “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Pie Society”, second place was “To Kill a Mocking Bird”, and third place was “The Glass Castle.” If you have not read any of these books you can go to the library and check them out as they come highly recommended from the book club. All the books from the last year are on display with comments, you may want to check them all out and see what members of the club thought about them.

The Lunch Box Book Club meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month.  Next meeting will be Dec. 12.  The book for December is “The Christmas Train” by David Baldacci. The Book Club is sponsored by the Mineral County Library and meets from noon until 1 pm. Lunch is brought by group volunteers and served. The Mineral County Library has copies of the chosen book if you would like to check it out and it is also available for Kindle and Nook.  Everyone is invited to come, have lunch and get new ideas for books to read. Even if you have not read the book for December, come anyway, you may have some ideas for the club.  The book for November “Snow Child” had good reviews from everyone in the meeting and some interesting takes from the book. Books are picked two to three months ahead and the group is always open to suggestions.
