A $1,000 donation was recently given to the Iron Nation Motorcycle Club to support the 12th Annual Never Forget 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Run which is held to raise awareness and support for Nevada’s wounded warriors. The event will be held in Carson City, Nevada, on Sept. 14 at the Harley-Davidson Dealership and all proceeds benefit the Nevada Military Support Alliance.

The event was moved to Carson City Harley-Davidson Dealership since they are assisting with the run and most of the activities will be taking place there. Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell has agreed to appear and Governor Brian Sandoval has been invited. The program for the day includes food, entertainment, and the ride, as well as a memorial tent to commemorate those lost on 9/11 and through the aftermath of war.

SOC Nevada, LLC continues to support Iron Nation’s efforts to raise funds for the programs that assist military men and women and their families who have given so much for our freedoms. The combined fundraising efforts have resulted in over $160,000 being contributed since the event’s inception. “We’re proud of our local Iron Nation Motor Cycle Club Charter here in Hawthorne and the huge amount of time and energy they put forth each year to assist the families in need. This important event helps assure that citizens have an opportunity ‘to remember’ in order that we ‘never forget.’” SOC

Registration begins at 8 a.m. on Sept. 14 at the Harley-Davidson Dealership. Be one of the first 150 to preregister and receive a pin and ride shirt. In keeping with tradition, event participation and support will be commemorated. Entry cost: $20 single, $30 double. Donations are welcome and tax-deductable.
