The Community Health Nurse, in conjunction with Public Health Preparedness and the Hawthorne and SOC Fire Departments, will be holding a free drive-through flu immunization clinic in September.
The staff will be at the Hawthorne Fire Station on Sept. 19, starting at 5 p.m. and going until 8 p.m. This clinic is open to anyone, age 6 months and older, that wishes to have a flu vaccination. Parents must complete a consent form on children younger than 18. There is no charge for this immunization and anyone that has not received the flu shot yet is encouraged to come in and get one.
